This year’s Relay for Life of Phillips County is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, from 3 - 8 p.m. For the first time, Relay for Life will be held at Court Square Park in downtown Helena.
This is a community event that raises not only money for the American Cancer Society for research, but also promotes programs and services for cancer patients and their families. Cancer effects everyone & we really want this to be an event that the entire community will come out and support. Last year Phillips County raised almost $50,000 – we expect to exceed that this year!
The public is invited to attend in support of friends or family members who have had cancer. Luminaries to honor or remember someone may be purchased for $5. Contact Paula Oliver at 870-338-0628 for luminary forms. You can also purchase them the day of the event.
The community is asked to help “Paint the Town Purple” in honor of the cancer survivors.
